Bio
Jason has extensive trial and appellate experience, including the distinction of arguing in front of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals on 2 occasions.
During his 18-year career as an attorney, Jason has litigated a variety of different claims representing both defendants and plaintiffs. Jason began his career defending law enforcement officers and sheriff’s offices from claims of false arrest, excessive force, and conditions of confinement brought under both State law and 28 U.S.C. §1983. Jason’s next career step brought him to McFarlane Law in 2011 where his practice area shifted to third party liability and first party property insurance claims. After spending the next four years as an attorney defending claims related to motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, negligent security, premises liability, dram shop, professional negligence, construction defect and homeowners’ insurance claims, Jason opened his own practice handling primarily first party insurance claims and negligence.
After 6 years in solo practice, Jason recently decided to rejoin McFarlane Law bringing with him his vast experience and knowledge as both a defense attorney and plaintiff’s attorney. At McFarlane Law Jason will be handling claims involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall, trip and fall, negligent security, premises liability Section 1983 civil rights claims, police liability, municipal liability and first party property insurance.
